The Master Course Pediatric Oncology is a theoretical and applied curriculum for colleagues active in pediatric oncology who wish to be trained at an advanced level. As such, it is an excellent opportunity for fellows in pediatric oncology, but also for pediatric oncologists (who are looking for a dedicated postgraduate program) or other medical specialists or clinical pharmacists who wish to expand their knowledge in pediatric oncology.
The Master Course is organized by the Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology (Utrecht, The Netherlands), the largest teaching and research hospital for pediatric oncology in Europe. It consists of four modules: General Aspects, Hemato-oncology, Neuro-oncology and Solid Tumors. The Master Course is currently being held for the third time. Previous editions were received well by the participants; the two previous modules received a mean overall score of 8/10, despite restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. EACCME accreditation has been requested.
Previous modules consisted of two live days each. From this edition on, the live days will be accompanied by an additional comprehensive online program that can be followed in a self-paced manner during the month preceding and the month following the two live days. During the live days, topics are explored in greater depth during hands-on sessions. All sessions are given by national and international experts in the field.
The live days of the first module, General Aspects, will take place on 11 and 12 November 2021, in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Online participation is also possible. Registration is now open. More information on module 3.1 Generals Aspects and the registration link can be found on the event website.
