The European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) will hold a one-day conference on UEMS European Training Requirements (ETRs) on Thursday, 20 April 2023, in Brussels.
The ETRs represent the consensus view of the National Medical Associations and Specialist Bodies of the UEMS for high standards in
modern medical specialist training and education in Europe. An ETR describes, in three parts, the requirements for all participants in the training process: trainees, trainers and training institutions.
The UEMS is conducting a Study on the Implementation of the ETRs in the UEMS Member Countries. Information from the preliminary evaluation of this survey will be shared at the conference. It will serve as a basis for further analyses, and strategies to support improvement in postgraduate medical training and its implementation, thus working towards improved
healthcare outcomes for patients across Europe.
More information can be found in the attached conference announcement.
