2025-10-31 Symposium on Phenoconversion – keynote speakerProf. Caroline Samer

On 31 October, we are delighted to invite you to a joint symposium (13:00–17:00) hosted at the Gorlaeus building, organized by the LACDR and the LUMC (KFT), focusing on the topic of phenoconversion.

This symposium is closely connected to the PhD work of Laura de Jong (LACDR) and Sylvia Klomp (LUMC), who both contributed with their research to this topic.

We are honored to welcome Prof. Caroline Samer (University of Geneva; Head, Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology Division, Geneva University Hospital) as our keynote speaker. Prof. Samer is an internationally recognized expert in the use of CYP phenotyping cocktails in clinical trials and practice, particularly in exploring the combined effects of inflammatory diseases, pharmacogenomics, and drug–drug interactions on drug metabolism.

In addition, Prof. Thorsten Lehr (Saarland University) will share his expertise on PBPK modeling, with a focus on the interplay between pharmacogenomics and drug–drug interactions. An area that is probably of great interest for the computational researchers within our division.

Attendance is free, but we kindly ask you to register in advance via the following link: https://forms.lumc.nl/lumc2/Symposium_Phenoconversion

We look forward to seeing many of you at this event on the 31 October!

Kind regards,

Martijn Manson and Jesse Swen, LACDR
